Guyra Home and Community Care Services (auspiced by Guyra Shire Council) provides a community transport service to Armidale for medical appointments, shopping and social activities.

What is Community Transport Community Transport offers you a way to get to essential services such as shopping, medical, all social appointments, by using our Community Bus, our Volunteer drivers or our Taxi Assistance or Subsidy Scheme. Shopping Access Bus This Service is available for shopping, medical and social appointments. Who is Eligible? A person living independently in the community and is either: Frail aged/Aboriginal and TS Islanders Has a permanent moderate to severe disability Carers of these people How to confirm if you are eligible? A visit from your Guyra HACC Co-ordinator in your home, will be organised, simply by phoning us. Don't hesitate to contact us, we will only be too pleased to hear from you We acknowledge their important role and inform the public that without their wonderful commitment the level of our service would be reduced Shopping Access This service is available on Monday and Friday for shopping, medical and social appointments. Our bus has a wheelchair on board and a wheelchair hoist, which also can be used by people having difficulty getting in and out of an ordinary bus. You will find our bus is easy to enter and exit
